Soltari is the main protagonist of Darkness of the Northern Sky. Told in first person, the reader gets to see the story from his point of view.
Soltari is a Commander in the army of the Northern Lands. He commands the forces on the Eastern borders protecting the villages there against the rebel militants from the Eastern Lands called the Rogue’s Army. He is an experienced swordsman and horseman and his nickname from the Rogue’s Army militants shows it.
He is a husband and father also, and here is where his mindset shifts from bloodshed to family, and thus the events of the story begin.
